Hello, dear readers!
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I'm excited to share a wonderful gift idea with you. This handmade present is, in my opinion, the best kind of gift to give. There's something truly special about investing your time, love, and creativity into a present for someone you care about.
This craft holds a very special place in my heart. I originally made it for my fiancé, who travels frequently for work. It's important to me that he always knows how much I love him, whether he's near or far. He works incredibly hard and deserves to feel cherished every day. This gift is a way for a little piece of me to travel with him. He later made it even more meaningful by incorporating it into his marriage proposal. He is a true blessing, and I adore him through thick and thin. I hope this craft brings you special memories of your own!
Ready to get started? Let's craft!
Here's what you'll need:
1) A deck of playing cards
2) A hole punch
3) Construction paper
4) Double sided tape
5) 2 metal binding rings
6) A pen
7) Stickers
This craft is called “52 Reasons I Love You”!
1) Take out your 52 playing cards and punch two holes in each card. Make sure the holes are aligned in the same spot on every card, as you'll bind them together later.
2) Cut out 52 small square pieces of paper in your chosen color—I used black. Make the squares slightly smaller than the playing cards.
3) Write your “52 reasons I love you” on each piece of paper using a pen in your preferred color—I chose a silver pen for a touch of shine.
4) Now, tape each paper square onto the face of a playing card. Use a joker card as the front cover of your deck.
5) Time to let your creativity shine! Decorate the cards however you like—I used scrapbook stickers with sweet messages.
6) When you're happy with your decorated cards, simply attach the binding rings through the holes—and voilà! You've created a unique, heartfelt, homemade gift.
This project isn't just for Valentine's Day—it's perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, or any occasion when you want to show someone you care.
Tip: I recommend double-sided tape over glue because glue can make the cards thicker and stiffer. With tape, the cards lie flat and look much neater.
Now go out there and spread some love!
