Shoes have been my passion for as long as I can recall, and high heels hold a special place in my heart. My feet are petite with a high arch, so when I try on heels, sales associates often say my feet were “made for them.” Honestly, I need heels—many, many heels. It’s just how I was born! (wink, wink)
I have a knack for gravitating toward pricier items—put two identical products side by side, and I’ll somehow choose the costlier one. I’m not great at bargain hunting, but nothing beats the thrill of scoring a deal. Discount stores aren’t my thing either; I’m a neat freak, and those places often feel cluttered and chaotic. Honestly, they give me anxiety.
Nordstrom Rack is a fantastic spot for high-end shoes at reasonable prices. The store is well-organized, and most items are easy to locate. I absolutely detest paying full price—especially knowing the markup. Don’t hesitate to buy off-season shoes and save them for later; retail is always a season ahead, so there’s constant turnover. Ask your local Nordstrom Rack about their shipment schedule to get first pick of new arrivals!
I scored these sizzling Cole Haan red patent leather pumps at Nordstrom Rack. Originally $298.00 (I’d never pay that), I snagged them for just $60.00. They’re the most comfortable heels I own! Nike owns Cole Haan, so they incorporate Nike’s cozy technology into the shoes. It’s amusing—the bottom of my heels has a gold plate that reads “Nike Air”—too cute!

Finding the perfect pair often requires patience—and ironically, that’s when I stumble upon them (even though I’m not patient at all!). Another excellent option is Haute Look, a Nordstrom company that operates entirely online. They recently made it possible to return online purchases from Haute Look at Nordstrom Rack stores—so convenient! I trust Nordstrom as a quality company that backs its products; I’m always willing to try anything with their name on it.

Wearing high heels makes me feel amazing—my posture improves, I gain confidence, and I feel a sense of power. I’ll even dress up jeans and a white tee with a pair of heels when the mood strikes. Don’t be afraid to try it yourself! Adding a pop of color with heels is a fun way to elevate any outfit. If you’re not ready for heels, start with a wedge—it gives you that heel look with extra support. And if you want to wear heels but no one else is… just do it. Wear what makes you feel your best!

Lissa! They are so AMAZING! It’s seriously like walking on clouds. They are without a doubt the most comfortable heels that I own. I think it is so funny that my fancy red heels say, “NIKE AIR” on the bottom. I feel so sporty and sassy all at the same time. Yes, Nike owns Cole Haan, UMBRO, Hurley, and I think there might be more, but that’s all I can think of right now. My favorite Nordstrom Rack in Oregon is the one off of 185th. They get shipments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, if my memory serves me right. Prime shopping time is the day of their shipments, before everyone gets off work. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t find what you want right away, it can be very hit and miss. When the right ones are out there in the universe for you, they will show up. Also, if you can get your hands on a Nike employee pass - the Nike employee store sells Cole Haan, but you’re going to get a better price at Nordstrom Rack. I’m so happy that you’re enjoying my blog.
