Hey everyone!
I’ve been passionate about shoes for as long as I can remember—especially heels! My feet are small with a high arch, so when I try on heels, sales associates often say my feet were “made for them.” Honestly, I need heels—lots and lots of heels. I was just born this way! (wink, wink)
I have a knack for spotting pricey items—put two identical products side by side, and I’ll somehow choose the pricier one. I’m not great at bargain hunting, but nothing beats the thrill of a good sale. I also avoid discount stores because I’m a neat freak, and those places often feel cluttered and messy. Seriously, they give me anxiety.
Nordstrom Rack is a fantastic spot for scoring high-end shoes at reasonable prices. The store is well-organized, and most items are easy to locate. I absolutely hate paying full price—especially since I know how much markup is involved. Don’t hesitate to buy off-season shoes and save them for later; retail is always a season ahead, so there’s constant turnover. Ask your local Nordstrom Rack about their shipment schedule to get first pick of new arrivals!
I found these smokin’ hot Cole Haan red patent leather pumps at Nordstrom Rack. Originally priced at $298.00 (I’d never pay that), I snagged them for just $60.00. They’re the most comfortable heels I own. Nike owns Cole Haan, so they incorporate Nike’s cozy technology into the shoes. It’s amusing—the bottom of each heel has a gold plate that reads “Nike Air”—too cute!
Sometimes you just need patience when hunting for the perfect pair of shoes—and when I’m patient, that’s when I find them. (I’m not a patient person, not even a little.) Another great option is Haute Look, also a Nordstrom company, but entirely online. The best part? Haute Look now allows returns of online purchases at Nordstrom Rack stores—so easy and convenient. I believe Nordstrom is a quality company that stands behind its products; anything with their name on it, I’m willing to try.
I love how heels make me feel—my posture improves, I feel more confident, and somehow powerful. I’ll dress up jeans and a white tee with a pair of heels if I’m in the mood. Don’t be afraid to do the same! Adding a pop of color with heels is a fun way to elevate any outfit. If you’re not comfortable in heels but want a similar look, try a wedge—it gives you that heel feel with extra support. And if you want to wear heels even when no one else is… just do it. Wear what makes you feel your best!
Cheers to finding your perfect pair!
